Iskandar racing against time to be fit for Thomas Cup

PETALING JAYA: National champion Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin is keeping his fingers crossed that he will be fit for the two major events – the Malaysian Open and Thomas Cup Finals.

The 24-year-old Iskandar suffered a heel injury and was forced to retire in the men’s singles second round at last week’s Swiss Open in Basel.
