GENTING HIGHLANDS: Cheras Badminton Club snatched a win against Serdang BC by the skin of their teeth in the fifth-eighth classification match of the Resorts World Genting Purple League Champions Challenge.
Mohd Arif Abdul Latif delivered the goods for Cheras BC by defeating Xie Binyu 11-6, 11-10, 11-6 in the decisive last tie at the Arena of Stars. Arif’s win in the second men’s singles tie brought the teams level at 9-9 but Cheras took the win by virtue of points scored – 162-160.
