KUALA LUMPUR: Shuttler Tan Kian Meng is slowly, but surely, enhancing his reputation as a potential doubles star.

Having switched from singles last April, Kian Meng has done well with partner Low Juan Shen. In their debut tournament, the Macau Open last November, they came through the qualifiers to claim the scalp of world No. 12 Liu Xiaolong-Qiu Zihan of China before losing in the second round.
