PETALING JAYA: China’s No. 3 Wang Zhengming made the most of the absence of illustrious compatriots Chen Long and Lin Dan to end his two-year title drought at the China Masters Grand Prix Gold badminton championships in Changzhou.
On Sunday, the 25-year-old former world junior champion needed just 47 minutes to see off compatriot Huang Yuxiang to reclaim the men’s singles title. It was world No. 9 Zhengming’s first title since he won the championships in 2013.
