KUALA LUMPUR: Former BAM players Mohd Arif Latif and Tan Chun Seang have smashed their way into contention for berths in the national squads for the Sudirman Cup (from May 10-17 in Dongguan, China) and SEA Games (from June 5-16 in Singapore).

The duo, who are now playing under the guidance of former national singles coach Rashid Sidek at the Sports Affairs Academy, were the two independent shuttlers invited by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) to join the selection trial – featuring 14 men and seven women – at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara on Wednesday.
