Hans-Kristian Vittinghus outclassed in-form Son Wan-ho of South Korea, the Hong Kong Open champion, 21-13, 21-16 in 43 minutes in Group B at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

PETALING JAYA: Hans-Kristian Vittinghus of Denmark provided the first shock in the men’s singles on the opening day of US$1mil (RM3.5mil) BWF World Superseries Finals.

The 28-year-old Vittinghus outclassed in-form Son Wan-ho of South Korea, the Hong Kong Open champion, 21-13, 21-16 in 43 minutes in Group B at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
