Speedy duo checks in Macau Open semis

KUALA LUMPUR: Woon Khe Wei-Vivian Hoo’s gamble on playing a fast and furious game paid dividends when they swept aside fifth seeds Keshya Nurvita Hanadia-Devi Tika Permata Sari of Indonesia 21-8, 21-16 in the women’s doubles quarter-finals of the Macau Open.

The win in 36 minutes set the Malaysian pair up for a semi-final clash with China’s qualifiers Ou Dongni-Xiaohan Yu in the Grand Prix Gold tournament.
