PETALING JAYA: Women’s doubles pair Lim Yin Loo-Lee Meng Yean delivered one of their best performances after coming back from the brink to beat the higher ranked Jwala Gutta-Ashwini Ponnappa of India in the first round of the Hong Kong Open.

World No. 34 Yin Loo-Meng Yean, playing in only their first tournament together since the World Championships in August, saved two match points en route to a nervy 16-21, 21-14, 23-21 win over the Indian world No. 20.
