KUALA LUMPUR: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) will form a whistleblower system to provide a platform for their players to expose match-fixing activities.
BAM president Tengku Tan Sri Mahaleel Tengku Arif said they had formed a working committee headed by Datuk Jahaberdeen Mohamed Yunoos to look into the match-fixing issue in the wake of two Denmark players – Hans-Kristian Vittinghus and Kim Astrup Sorensen – claiming that a Malaysian bookie had approached them to sell matches during the Japan Open in June.
