ODENSE: World No. 1 Li Xuerui finally ended her jinx in Denmark, beating compatriot and title holder champion Wang Yihan in the women’s singles final of the Denmark Open badminton championships.
Xuerui, who suffered from a bad case of allergies at last year’s Denmark Open and was beaten by Spaniard Carolina Marin in the World Championships final in August this year, won 21-17, 22-20 for her first Denmark Open crown at the Odense Idraetschal.
