Jorgensen claims first win outside Europe


PETALING JAYA: It was a day to cherish for Denmark’s Jan O Jorgensen as he claimed a well-deserved third Superseries title at the Indonesian Open in Jakarta.

In the men’s singles showdown on Sunday, the world No. 3 stepped up his game to defeat Kenichi Tago – the opponent he has yet to beat in two previous meetings this year – 21-18, 21-18 in 44 minutes.
