Chong Wei to meet Boonsak in HK semis


Boonsak Ponsana defeated Denmark's Hans-Kristian Vittignhus 21-17, 21-16 to set up a semi-final match with Lee Chong Wei.

KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei will be out to safeguard his five-year unbeaten run against Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand when the old hands clash in the men’s singles semi-finals of the Hong Kong Open in Kowloon on Saturday.

On Friday, top seed Chong Wei was in ruthless form when he crushed reigning French Open champion Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark 21-8, 21-17 in just 34 minutes.
