China players do their vanishing acts again

China's Li Xuerui conceded a walkover to her compatriot Wang Shixian in the women's quarter-final of the Denmark Open on Friday

Xuerui, beaten in the final of the World Championships by Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon, was to meet compatriot and world No. 7 Wang Shixian in the last eight while Xiaoli-Yu Yang were down to face China’s new partnership of Bao Yixin-Tang Jinhua.

Japanese pair Misaki Matsutomo-Ayaka Takahashi were disappointed with the withdrawal of Xiaoli-Yu Yang.
