Lin Dan still the favourite despite huge drop in rankings

KUALA LUMPUR: Four-time world champion Lin Dan of China has dropped to No. 102 in the world but is still the favourite to win the title for a record fifth time at the World Championships in Guangzhou, China, from Aug 5-11.

In the new world rankings list released yesterday, former world No. 1 Lin Dan officially dropped out of the top-100 after playing in only one tournament since winning the gold medal at the London Olympic Games last August.
