Top seed Daren sends Yee Han packing in last eight


PETALING JAYA: Top seed Liew Daren (pic) is firmly on course to win his first local title after checking into the men’s singles semi-finals of the Kedah Open badminton championship at the Kedah BA Hall in Alor Setar yesterday.

 The 26-year-old Daren showed youngster Chong Yee Han, who sent eighth seed Loh Wei Sheng packing in the second round, with a 21-13, 21-15 win.
