Kristian proves he is king of long distance running

KUCHING: Federal Territories’ Kristian Tung stamped his authority in the long distance events after winning the boys’ 5,000m final in the Malaysia Games (Sukma) at the Sarawak Stadium in Petra Jaya on Thursday (Aug 22).

The 20-year-old Longborough University student powered ahead of his opponents in the 5,000m by clocking a time of 15:20.50, seven seconds faster than second and third-placed Perakians - Shawn Roshan Singh (15.27.37) and Mohd Farooq Mohd Zubair Kanan (15:30.45).
