MAF hope to speed up process of getting Umar into Auburn


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Athletics Federation (MAF) coaching chairman Datuk Wira Mark Ling is pushing for a swift transition to allow talented quarter-miler Umar Osman (pic) to join sprinter Mohd Azeem Fahmi at the Auburn University in Alabama.

Mark, who is also the MAF vice-president, said that meticulous planning and discussion are ongoing with technical director Roberth Balard and coaches to finalise a programme that will suit Umar.
