CHINA swept both gold and silver medals in the men and women’s 20km race walk to show their dominance in the opening day of athletics action.

Zhang Jun and Wang Zhaozhao finished first and second in the men’s event while Yang Jiayu defended her title in the women’s race after finishing ahead of compatriot Ma Zhenxia.
