A hammer blow for Jackie who settles for silver

HAMMER thrower Jackie Wong (pic) thought he had done enough to win the gold medal, but had to console himself with silver medal after his protest was rejected by the jury yesterday.

Jackie, 31, who was trailing eventual winner Kittipong Boonmawan of Thailand, said his final throw was supposed to be 64.64 but was wrongly recorded as 62.64.
