THE last day of the athletics competition did not belong to early favourites Mohd Azeem Fahmi and Nor Sarah Adi.

The reigning Malaysia Games (Sukma) men’s and women’s 100m sprint winners failed to come good in the 200m and pole vault events respectively after suffering contrasting misfortunes at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
