CHRISTMAS came early for the Philippines’ Christine Hallasgo who showed dogged determination to overcome her idol and nation’s marathon queen Mary Joy Tabal to the gold medal at the New Clark City Athletics Arena.
The 27-year-old finished with a time of 2’56.56 dethroning her teammate Mary who clocked in at 2’58.49 for a 1-2 finish for the hosts.
