Nyepa goes under 21 to raise hopes

Racing to the podium: Jonathan Nyepa returned empty-handed in his first two SEA Games.

SPRINTER Jonathan Nyepa has finally dipped below 21secs in the 200m. And expectations are now high on him to get at least a podium finish in the event at his third SEA Games.

The Sarawak athlete had a good preparation for the sprint events with a six-month training-cum-competition stint in the United States from February to August. The 23-year-old will run in the men’s 100m, 200m and 4x100m at the New Clark City Stadium in the Philippines from Dec 6-10.
