KUALA LUMPUR: Mohd Irfan Shamsuddin was not jumping for joy despite breaking the men’s discus meet record by more than six metres in the Perak All-Comers 2 Athletics Championships at the SMK Seri Kandi Mini Stadium in Teluk Intan.

The burly Negri Sembilan athlete hurled a distance of 54.05m en route to winning the gold and erased the previous mark of 47.54m set by Abdul Rahman Lee in 2017.
