Sprinter wins 200m gold, but fails to qualify for SEA Games

KUALA LUMPUR: There was no joy for Muhd Haiqal Hanafi despite emerging as the new sprint king at the Malaysian Closed Athletics Championships.

The Johorean, who won the 100m with a time of 10.59 on Friday, clocked a personal best 21.20 to win the 200m at the National Sports Council (NSC) Training Track in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
