Sukma star Aqil upstages seniors to win 200m gold

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Games (Sukma) double gold medallist Muhd Aqil Yasmin (pic) upstaged national sprinters to win the 200m gold in the 55th edition of the Armed Forces Athletics Champion­ships in Lumut.

The 21-year-old Selangor athlete, who clocked a personal best of 21.01 to shatter the Sukma record of 21.03 in Ipoh last month, clocked a hand time of 21.70 in the 200m final at the Navy Stadium yesterday.
