Double golden celebration for Malaysia in Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia enjoyed a rare golden sprint double when Jonathan Nyepa and Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli won the men and women’s 100m events at the Asean University Games (AUG) in Singapore.

Sarawakian Jonathan, who won silver at the last AUG in Palembang two years ago, clocked 10.62 seconds at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium to finish ahead of Vietnam’s Le Trong Hinh (10.66) and Indonesia’s I. Iswandi (10.75) on Thursday.
