Sprinter Badrul misses national record by 0.04s

SHAH ALAM: Sprinter Badrul Hisyam Abdul Manap came close to breaking the men’s 100m national record by clocking 10.34 in the heats in the 50th Pahang Open Athletics Championships at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan.

The 19-year-old was only 0.04 seconds short of the national mark of 10.30 set by Watson Nyambek at the 1998 pre-Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.
