KUALA LUMPUR: Shereen Samson Vallabouy made her family and Malaysia proud by winning the girls’ 400m gold in the 10th South-East Asian (SEA) Youth Athletics Championships at the National Sports Council (NSC) Training Track in Bukit Jalil.

The 17-year-old Perak-born Shereen clocked 55.12, but failed to improve her personal best of 54.90 which she did in the Malaysian Open last month to qualify for the World Youth Championships in Cali, Colombia, from July 15-19.
