Hurdlers Rayzam, Jamras to face off again


Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian is confident he can upstage Jamras Rittidet of Thailand for the second time in the Malaysian Open.

KUALA LUMPUR: Hurdler Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian will face his nemesis and two-time SEA Games gold medallist Jamras Rittidet of Thailand in the Malaysian Open Athletics Championships, which begin at the UM Arena, Universiti Malaya, on Saturday.

At the 2011 Palembang SEA Games, Jamras clocked 13.77 to break the men’s 110m hurdles record en route to winning the gold medal. Rayzam, from Keningau, Sabah, took the silver in 13.86.
