Thevendran eyes breakthrough but Thai threat looms large


PETALING JAYA: Young Malaysian karate exponent K. Thevendran (pic) is aiming for a winning debut at the SEA Games in Thailand next month but sees Thailand as his biggest barrier.

The 21-year-old has been in smashing form this year as he underlined his potential as a future star for Malaysia by winning bronze in his Asian Championships debut in Uzbekistan in May.
