THE Tropicana Golf & Country Resort Club Championships had some top quality golf on display, characterised by a few close finishes, and none better than the men’s gross category.

Justin Wong Jie Hau, playing off a four-handicap, retained his men’s gross title and declared afterwards that it was a lot more difficult than when he won last year. He finished with a 231 total after the three days and beat Jimmy Chia and Lam Kong Foo (3 h’cp) by two strokes.
