Peremba Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PECD Bhd, has been awarded a RM528.88mil contract for Kuala Lumpur Flood Mitigation (KLFM) project package B, superseding the Batu Pond (Gombak) Advance Works Interim Letter of Award of RM80mil.
PACKAGE B of the Batu/Jinjang flood mitigation project costing RM548mil is expected to be completed by Dec 24 this year.
The Government will finance the Kuala Lumpur Flood itigation Project - Package B (KLFM), undertaken by Peremba Construction Sdn Bhd, through deferred payment facilities totalling RM645mil involving Bank Pembangunan Infrastruktur Malaysia Bhd (BPIMB).
WHILE there has not been a yellow alert for thunderstorms in Kuala Lumpur, City Hall has mobilised its flood task force to be on standby in case of flooding. The 44-member rescue squad is on a 24-hour standby, working on three shifts. Each shift has about 10 to 12 personnel.
