‘Do not hire illegal foreign workers’

TRADERS at wet markets and food courts in Kuala Lumpur have been issued a stern warning by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to hire only foreign workers with proper permits from the Immigration Department. Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan reminded wet market traders and hawkers that they were not allowed to hire workers without documentation to work in their premises. “We are no longer going to tolerate this (practice) and will go all out to weed out illegals working in DBKL-owned premises, ” he said.
