Uzbekistan keen on more projects with Malaysian firms

Uzbekistan wants to set up joint ventures with Malaysian companies in the textiles industry and in fruit processing. Its Deputy Foreign Minister Ilham Nematov said there were already 18 joint ventures in various sectors between businessmen of both countries, as Malaysians had begun to 'discover' the vast potential of the resource-rich central Asian country, he said.

KFCH and Ayamas expect to maintain turnover at 2003 level

KFC Holdings (M) Bhd (KFCH) and its wholly-owned subsidiary Ayamas Food Corp Bhd expect to match their 2003 turnover of about RM1bil and RM450mil respectively this year, said KFCH group managing director Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani.
