NOT too long ago, I came across a comment by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, calling on parents to let their children explore other career fields aside from the 'safe' career paths we've all come to know. Paths like medicine, law, engineering, accountancy, finance and information technology.
It reminded me of a scenario that by now is a cliche. A parent asks their child what they want to pursue after they're finished with secondary school. The child says, "Art". And the parent shoots back, "Art? What good is that? No. Do law."
