Looking out for children left alone in locked vehicles

I READ with deep concern and sadness the news about the toddler who died of heat exhaustion after being left in a car in Seremban, “Two-year-old dies of heat exhaustion after being forgotten in car” (The Star, Jan 27). There have been similar incidents in the past with most cases involving children aged two years or below.

As a senior safety manager, I have some recommendations to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents.
