THE requirement of the Education Ministry for five-year-olds to undergo diagnostic assessment to determine their readiness for entry into Year One would have generated life-long psychological problems in the children.
Hence, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's decision to agree to scrapping the test was indeed wise.
