Police officers should be flexible on minor infringements

NOWADAYS, nearly all cars come with number plates that are stuck on with double-sided tape. They are not screwed on like in the days of old.

Over time, the tape hardens in our hot climate, and the number plate can fall off easily or be removed by unscrupulous people.
