I RECENTLY read a newspaper report about a VIP’s daughter being enrolled at Tunku Kursiah College (TKC), a fully funded, fully residential school (in Malay, sekolah berasrama penuh, SBP).

While I hold no personal objection to any individual, this development raises serious concerns about policy fairness and the original purpose of SBPs.
