Building public trust needs open parliamentary hearings

Public parliamentary hearings refer to open committee or commission proceedings that are accessible to the public, either through live broadcasts or by allowing physical attendance.

In Malaysia, this concept applies to bodies such as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Parliamentary Special Select Committees (PSCs), Election Commission (EC), Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Royal Commissions of Inquiry (RCIs), and the National Audit Department (NAD).
