Call for more school social workers in the educational ecosystem


A FEW years ago, I attended the Fifth International School Social Work Conference in Accra, Ghana, where I presented a paper titled “Improving standards of education through effective social work practice”.

Based on my experience in social work, I believe it is time for the Education Ministry to adopt a multi-agency approach and consider setting up a division or committee that focuses specifically on “school social work”.
