FAM owes public an explanation

WHILE the seven Harimau Malaya footballers who have been suspended by FIFA are legally Malaysians, my stereotype thinking, and perhaps prejudice, tells me they definitely do not have the typical Malaysian look. To me, the Malaysian look should be in line with our tourism tagline, “Malaysia, Truly Asia”.

I thought grooming local football talents has been an ongoing effort for decades. Can I assume that these efforts have failed, resulting in us having to rely on those with foreign names to represent our country?
