Ensure enough time and better questions in SPM papers

I REFER to the article, “Teacher retakes SPM for student insight”, (The Star, May 2; online at bit.ly/4iHDPK8). I concur with mathematics tuition teacher Mak Chin Foong on a number of points she raised. I too have repeatedly sat for the paper I teach, i.e. SPM Paper 9221 Bible Knowledge, and agree that there are valuable insights to be gained by teachers sitting for the paper they teach.

Mak stated that, “If even an experienced teacher like me barely had enough time to complete the paper, how can we expect our students to manage?”
