Urgent need to tackle rise of underaged sexual activity, says Wanita MCA

Wanita MCA is deeply alarmed by the recent statistics released by the Kelantan police, which reveal a troubling rise in sexual offences involving underage minors. Particularly distressing is the growing number of consensual sexual encounters among children and teenagers, some as young as 10. These call for urgent and comprehensive action from all quarters of society.

The women’s wing of MCA hopes that the following five strategies can contribute towards reducing consensual sexual activity among pre-teens and underage persons:
