THE shooting of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, on a New York City street on the morning of Dec 4, allegedly with a homemade weapon known as a “ghost gun”, has raised concerns over 3D printing.
According to officers investigating the case, the gun was made with a receiver bought from a company and then built using a 3D printer.
