Safety gaps in application process for credit cards

I AM writing to express my concerns about the credit card application process of certain banks. In my view, the process disregards essential data protection measures, thereby creating vulnerabilities that can be exploited by scammers.

First, the applicant must be allowed to directly input his/her personal details via the bank’s secure portal. It is unacceptable for call agents to collect such sensitive information over the phone regardless of the reasons cited by the bank. This practice compromises the security of personal data.
