China-Asean free trade area 3.0: Opening a new chapter in regional cooperation

On Oct 10, 2024, leaders of China and the 10 Asean member countries announced the substantial conclusion of the China-Asean Free Trade Area 3.0 negotiations. This milestone event has injected new vitality into the economic and trade cooperation between China and Asean, and also brought new opportunities for the prosperity and development of the regional economy.

Version 3.0 of the China-Asean Free Trade Area covers nine areas, including both existing and emerging areas.
