Police succession plan should be followed

I JOINED the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) in 1969 and graduated in 1970 after completing the basic training course at the RMP College in Kuala Kubu Baru. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) back then was Tun Mohamed Salleh Ismail who was the first Malaysian to helm the post.

I served under many IGPs in my police career spanning 38 years. When I retired in 2007, the IGP was Tan Sri Musa Hassan.
