IN 2020, the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) reported that Malaysia ranked second in Asia for cyberbullying among youths; and that three out of 10 young Malaysians have been a victim of cyberbullies.

According to Unicef’s website, cyberbullying is the practice of harassing someone via electronic messaging, usually by sending threatening or frightening messages. It is a repeated behaviour aimed at scaring, angering, and shaming those who are targeted.
