CYBERBULLYING, characterised by the use of digital platforms to harass, threaten, or demean an individual, has far-reaching psychological effects that necessitate urgent attention and intervention.

The recent tragic suicide of a young Malaysian woman due to cyberbullying is not an isolated incident. In August 2022, a mother of three reportedly ended her life following relentless cyberbullying on TikTok. Similarly, in May 2020, the suicide of a 20-year-old woman was allegedly linked to cyberbullying.
